Monday 15th May - walk *** Around Felixstowe including lunch at The Grove - sunny start then cloudy, breezy.

A bit of a waste of a breezy day but with the wind from the north and poor tides for the Stour I had to sadly give windsurfing a miss today. The morning was quite nice, sunny and sheltered in our little garden so did my exercises outside before packing a picnic and setting off on a walk around 12.30 just as it clouded over! Reached the lovely Abbey Grove full of blossom and finding a bench sheltered form the wind and enjoyed lunch with a large bed of buttercups in front of us:) Then through The Grove with the wild garlic still in full bloom, across the park and down to the prom at the Fludyers with some dark clouds threatening rain but it did stay dry. With the wind offshore it was pleasant enough heading home, bumping into birdwatching friend Roger again, stopping for a chat. Covering just under 4 miles my poor knees were suffering, time to put the feet up with a hot water bottle plus a cuppa and cake.
